I’m Back!

Wow. It’s been years since I last posted. I hadn’t really kept up with my writing and would write a little here and there. I was focusing more on my coaching business, which I’m now combining writing and coaching…so now I’m a writing coach!

So much has happened in the last few years. To summarize: Thing 1 and Thing 2 took off to Mexico. Thing 1 met a girl, fell in love, and had a baby. Thing 3 got married. Thing 4 started college. I sold my house and took off to Mexico, then landed in the mountains of California for a bit, then the mountains of Arizona. I went back home for a while since Thing 3 had a baby, then left and came back down to Mexico. Thing 3 is now pregnant again, so in a few months I’ll be making the trek back home again.

On the writing front, I’m participating in NaNoWriMo and am at 16,690 words for NaNo. This is only Day 5. I’m hoping to get the first draft of Book 2 in Tora’s World done during NaNo. I’m so damn happy to be writing again. Plus, I’m already planning Book 3! Once I get the first draft of Book 2 done, I’ll start writing Book 3, get the first draft of that done, and then go back to rewriting Book 2.

On another note, Blood Promise is getting a new cover and some new editing! I can’t wait to show it to you. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I should have that by tomorrow.

Can I Sleep Yet?

I don’t think I’ve slept for a month. I’m so stinkin’ tired. I’ve been working my ass off getting my coaching business off the ground; which, by the way, I’ve been working with an amazing business coach, Kimberly Maska. I’ve been working with her for almost a month and am ready to actually start getting clients! In a month! Wild, eh? Working full-time plus getting the coaching business going equals NO SLEEP. As of the time of me posting this, it’s almost 3:30 a.m. Yeah…no sleep…god I’m tired.

I now have my coaching website up! Check it out! You might think, “Wait, what? She can do that?” I also have my Facebook page up along with my ad, so who knows? I also just submitted my ad tonight, so you might see it running soon. If you do, let me know!

Since I’ve been just a teensy weensy bit neglectful of you guys, I’m holding a contest for a signed book. But, here’s the catch…there’s always a catch, right? I’m going to catch up on a few Zzz’s while I can, and then be up and at it tomorrow, trying to get this business set up. So, you may not hear from me for another month. Just sayin’.

Big, BIG, HUGE NEWS!!

So, I haven’t been very active on the blog lately…holidays and all that fun stuff, but I have another reason why. I’m actually starting a new business venture with two other close friends. We’ve been talking about this for years, but the time feels right and we’re finally starting it. We’re still in the planning stages, but we’ve now gotten to the point of actually making a business plan. The next step is registering with the state, meeting with a CPA and attorney, filing with the IRS, getting the website set up and then actually marketing! My youngest is going to be our Administrative Assistant since she’s very detail oriented, tech savvy, and organized. We still have another person we’re considering bringing in as a coach on a contracting basis who provides services we don’t. My boys both have management degrees and will be consulting with us as well.

Wow.

What is this business, you ask? We’re starting up a spiritually-based coaching business with three, possibly four coaches and could even add two more later on! We’re very excited to get this off the ground. Once we get a website up, I’ll let you know what it is.

But wait! What about my writing? Right now, this is consuming my time and energy but once things get started and I can actually quit my current job to work on the coaching business, then I’ll be able to get back to writing again.

Whew! 2018 is going to be my year to shine!
